The nineteenth edition of Moncalvo in Danza confirms the formula that made the festival famous: a week of high-level dance training at Orsolina28, accompanied by free evening performances open to the public. The 2026 Summer Camp, sold out well in advance, brings together dancers from all over Italy and a panel of international instructors for masterclasses in classical, repertoire, modern, and contemporary dance.
The evenings enliven Piazza Garibaldi and culminate in the Gala at the Open Air Stage among the Monferrato vineyards, under the artistic direction of Massimiliano Vacchina.

Sunday, July 5 — Piazza Garibaldi
- 21:30 — «Come un gabbiano sul mare», a creation by Nico Benedetti inspired by Domenico Modugno, featuring dancers from the Accademia della Danza Nibe. Followed by a Latin-American dance evening with Salsabor and DJ Marcos Puma.
Thursday, July 9 — Piazza Garibaldi
- In the afternoon, a free tango workshop at Orsolina28.
- 21:30 — «Historia de Tango» with the Almagro Company; closing with a milonga open to the public with DJ Barbara D'Agostino.
Friday, July 10 — Piazza Garibaldi
- In the afternoon, a free hip hop workshop.
- «Moncalvo Street Moves – Faces» evening: urban dance with the Faces company and a regional battle, curated by Simone Bua and Giorgia Chessa. A meeting point between hip hop, contemporary dance, and live music.
Saturday, July 11 — Orsolina28 Open Air Stage
- 19:30 — Gala Evening: closing performance with Summer Camp participants divided by age groups, on the outdoor stage among the vineyards.
The Summer Camp masterclasses (July 5–12) are held at Orsolina28 with classical and repertoire teachers such as Ludmill Çakalli, Kristina Grigorova, and Dorian Grori, and for contemporary and modern dance with Francesco Annarumma and Simone Nolasco, in addition to choreographic workshops.

Getting there
Moncalvo is located in the Province of Asti, in the Monferrato region. By car, it is accessible via the A21 (Asti exit) or the A26. Evening performances are held in Piazza Garibaldi in the historic center; Summer Camp activities and the final Gala take place at Orsolina28 in the surrounding countryside.
Tickets
Evening performances in Piazza Garibaldi are free of charge. Participation in the Summer Camp requires registration, and spots are limited: the 2026 edition was sold out by February.
When
The festival takes place in the first half of July. We recommend booking accommodation in the Moncalvo and Monferrato area well in advance.
