The Mixed Fried Fish Festival in Solero

In the heart of the Alessandria Monferrato, the small town of Solero becomes a meeting point for food lovers in early June thanks to the Mixed Fried Fish Festival. The event, held in the Carlo Guasco kindergarten park, is one of the most popular gastronomic highlights in the province of Alessandria, Piedmont, and offers a large covered stand for three consecutive evenings where you can enjoy the famous fried fish and numerous other specialties.

A tradition signed by Amici di Solero

The festival is organized by the Amici di Solero cultural association, founded in 1996, which marks the town's calendar every summer with three gastronomic events that have become classics: in addition to the June Mixed Fried Fish Festival, the association hosts a festival dedicated to agnolotti in the summer and the famous Polentissima in September. The proceeds from these events support the association's activities and the social life of the Solero community.

Cuisine and atmosphere

The heart of the festival is, naturally, the cuisine: every evening, starting at 7:30 PM, the covered dining area serves mixed fried fish along with other traditional dishes in a familiar and convivial atmosphere. The evenings continue with live music, DJ sets, and dancing in the park, with orchestras and bands alternating each night to get everyone, young and old, on the dance floor.

An event for the whole community

More than just a simple village festival, the Solero event is a meeting point for the town's residents and visitors from neighboring towns in the Monferrato area. Admission to the musical evenings is free, while reservations are recommended for dinner.
