In the heart of Val di Non, the municipality of Sarnonico (Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige) has been a regular stop on the summer Miss Italia regional tour for over two decades. Set on the Predaia plateau, surrounded by apple orchards and the foothills of the Dolomites, the event turns the Sarnonico Sports Complex into an open-air stage that draws hundreds of spectators from across the valley and beyond.

A provincial selection for the national pageant

The Sarnonico event is one of the provincial selections that make up the regional path of the Miss Italia National Pageant. Contestants, typically aged between 17 and 30 and residing in Trentino-Alto Adige, take to the runway in various categories—elegant evening wear, swimwear, and interviews—under the watchful eye of a jury that awards the title of Miss Sarnonico along with other evening honors. The winners of these provincial selections advance to the regional finals, and the regional winners then secure a pass to the national pre-finals.

The event is organized by the regional Miss Italia branch in Trentino-Alto Adige, led by exclusive agent Sonia Leonardi, who hosts and presents the various summer tour stops.
