Hobbyist exhibitors, vintage games, and a park train at the Parco-Museo dell'Ingenio in Busca
The Mercatini dell'Ingenio is an annual event that transforms the Parco-Museo dell'Ingenio in Busca, in the heart of the Cuneo province (Piedmont), into a lively open-air market. Promoted by the Associazione Ingenium APS in collaboration with the Municipality of Busca, the event combines a showcase of hobbyists and creatives with the discovery of the museum, set in a green and welcoming environment along Viale Mons. Ossola.
The stars of the day are the forty or so hobbyist exhibitors, offering artisanal creations, small trinkets, crafts, and curiosities along the park's paths. The event is also an opportunity to visit the museum, with its permanent collection of vintage agricultural and industrial machinery and the bobbin lace creations by master lacemaker Ombretta Audisio. In recent years, the exhibition route has been enriched with new materials and refurbished rooms dedicated to the donors' families, testifying to the strong bond between the Parco-Museo and the local area.
Born from the voluntary efforts of the Associazione Ingenium APS, the Parco-Museo dell'Ingenio chronicles the evolution of agricultural, industrial, and artisanal work, offering new generations concrete examples of the ingenuity of the past. With over a hundred members and thousands of hours of volunteer work, it has become a cultural landmark for Busca and the entire Cuneo region.
With free admission, the Mercatini dell'Ingenio are designed for a wide audience: families with children, craft enthusiasts, and those curious about the history of rural work in Piedmont. The day, spent outdoors and immersed in nature, is a simple and genuine opportunity to enjoy a few hours of leisure, discovery, and tradition in the town of Busca.
The fourth edition was held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at the Parco-Museo dell'Ingenio in Busca (CN). A day dedicated to leisure and curiosity with hobbyist exhibitors, the opening of the museum, and activities for families.
For the occasion, a new exhibition route was inaugurated, featuring six refurbished rooms and new materials on display, alongside the permanent collection of vintage agricultural and industrial machinery and the bobbin lace creations by master Ombretta Audisio.
