About Mediterraria Expo

Mediterraria Expo is the food and wine exhibition dedicated to the agri-food excellence of Sicily and the Mediterranean, held in Catania at the Le Ciminiere exhibition center. Three days of Sicilian wines, extra virgin olive oil, organic products, preserves, cheeses, cured meats, bread, and local specialties, featuring show cooking, masterclasses, conferences, and B2B meetings with buyers and professionals from all over Italy. An event that showcases the culture, traditions, and flavors of the Sicilian land, in line with Sicily's status as the European Region of Gastronomy.

Mediterraria Expo, the showcase of Sicilian agri-food

Mediterraria Expo – Food and Wine Exhibition is the benchmark event for Mediterranean excellence and organic food, hosted in Catania at the evocative Le Ciminiere exhibition center, a splendid example of industrial archaeology restoration in the heart of the Etnean city. Organized by Amazing S.r.l., the event connects Sicilian producers with buyers and professionals from across Italy, transforming food and wine products into a vehicle for culture, traditions, emotions, and local flavors.

Sectors on display

The exhibition dedicates large display areas to a complete supply chain of excellent products from Sicily and the Mediterranean basin:

  • Sicilian wines, now global protagonists;
  • Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, steadily rising in international markets;
  • Organic production and products with protected designations of origin;
  • Sicilian flours, pasta, and bread, with a special event dedicated to the "Pani di Sicilia";
  • Preserves, nuts, meats, and cured meats;
  • Cheeses, local products, and nutraceutical offerings.

A program between culture and taste

Mediterraria Expo is not just an exhibition: it is an immersive experience that weaves professional networking with gastronomic education. The calendar alternates show cooking with local chefs, tasting masterclasses dedicated to wines and local products, conferences and seminars on sustainable agriculture, food traceability, and quality, as well as gala dinners and a structured buyer program designed to facilitate commercial exchanges. There is also space for food-saving projects and the promotion of culinary destinations.

Sicily, land of European gastronomy

The event is part of the prestigious recognition of Sicily as the European Region of Gastronomy 2025, the first international recognition of this kind awarded in Italy. In Catania, a city with a Mediterranean vocation, Mediterraria Expo celebrates the island's agri-food identity with the theme "The land nourishes and heals," offering visitors and professionals a journey into the authentic flavors of the Sicilian Region.

Target audience

The event has a dual B2B and B2C soul: it is aimed at both industry professionals (producers, restaurateurs, distributors, buyers) and the general public of food and wine enthusiasts, with free admission upon registration. An unmissable stop for those who want to discover the best of Sicilian and Mediterranean agri-food production up close.
