Once a month, over the weekend, Piazza Scammacca transforms into a meeting point for lovers of old-school fashion. The Vintage Market fills this courtyard-square in the historic center of Catania (Province of Catania, Sicily) with stalls featuring vintage clothing and accessories, second-hand garments, and upcycled creations. It is more than just a market: it is an experience where rummaging through hangers, discovering a unique piece from the eighties, and stopping for an aperitivo is all part of the fun.
A story of circular fashion
The Vintage Market was born in 2022 from the vision of fashion designer Carla Danna and Noemi Privitera, founder of Riciclemi, a shop specializing in vintage and second-hand clothing and accessories. The philosophy is clear: give garments a new life, move away from fleeting trends, and promote more sustainable consumption. Each edition gathers dozens of exhibitors and vintage resellers from all over Sicily, attracting hundreds of visitors.

More than just a market, the Vintage Market has become a community moment: some editions even feature a charity corner, with proceeds donated to support areas affected by emergencies. Free and open to everyone, it is the ideal opportunity to experience Piazza Scammacca and the charm of creative reuse.
Vintage Market Catania — edition 2026
In 2026, the Vintage Market confirms its monthly rhythm at Piazza Scammacca, in the center of Catania. The first dates announced are February 21 and 22 (11:00 AM - 8:00 PM), featuring a charity corner to support the municipalities of Furci, Santa Teresa, and Niscemi affected by the cyclone, and March 28 and 29 (11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, non-stop).
The spring highlight is the Vintage Market XL on April 26 and 27 (12:00 PM - 10:00 PM): over twenty vintage resellers, radio in the square, vinyl sets, live bands, and DJ sets all weekend long. The events continue month after month: new dates are communicated on official channels. Admission is always free.
