The major spring fair that brings the historic center of Busca to life
The May Fair - From Square to Square is the event that every year, at the end of May, fills the historic center of Busca with lifeโa town in the province of Cuneo nestled in the Terre del Monviso, in Piedmont. Promoted by the Municipality of Busca in collaboration with Assoimprese and the Fondazione Amleto Bertoni, the fair has become a landmark for the region: a widespread showcase that highlights local commerce, traditions, and valley craftsmanship.
The "From Square to Square" concept is the heart of the event: the festival is not concentrated in a single space but winds along the axis of Via Umberto I, connecting four historic squares, each with its own identity and offerings:
The program is designed to engage audiences of all ages: alongside commercial exhibitors and downtown shops open for the occasion, there are food stands serving traditional dishes and typical Piedmontese products, as well as exhibitions, educational workshops, and street performances. Iconic city landmarks such as Casa Francotto, the Mario Berardo Postcard Museum, and the Parco Museo dell'Ingegno open their doors to visitors, weaving the festival into the cultural heritage of Busca.
Now in its sixteenth edition, the May Fair has established itself as one of the most cherished dates on the Busca calendar, attracting visitors from across the province of Cuneo and neighboring towns. It is the perfect opportunity to discover Busca, stroll through its squares, savor local flavors, and experience the authentic atmosphere of a Piedmontese village festival.
The 16th edition of the May Fair was held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, recording high participation from the morning onwards. The four squares of the historic center of Busca hosted stalls, local products, shows, and numerous cultural offerings. Among this year's novelties were the vintage car rally and exhibition and the overlap with the Antilia Cup, a youth sports event organized by Pro Loco Busca 360ยฐ.
Official inauguration at 10:30 AM in Piazza Santa Maria.
The "Bingo Show" featured roaming circus acts, magic, juggling, and comedy.
By car: Busca is easily reached from Cuneo (about 20 km) and Saluzzo via the SP589. From the A6 Turin-Savona motorway, take the Marene exit and continue towards Cuneo, then Busca.
By train: the Busca station is served by the Cuneo-Saluzzo-Savigliano railway line.
Admission to the fair is free. Many activities, exhibitions, and entertainment events are open to the public.
The event traditionally takes place on the last Sunday of May, for the entire day, from morning until evening.
