Half a century of Alto Vicentino history
The MAV Festival, or the Exhibition of Altovicentino Craftsmanship, is one of the longest-standing and most characteristic events in Marano Vicentino, in the province of Vicenza. Founded in the seventies, it has spanned half a century of history, showcasing the evolution of the economic and productive fabric of the Alto Vicentino area, with the slogan 'Our history is the key to the future'.
Three days of pavilions and events
The heart of the festival are the large exhibition pavilions set up in Viale Europa, with over a hundred exhibitors spread across thousands of square meters. Alongside the craftsmanship exhibition, the program includes talk shows, conferences, presentations, a food area with tastings, and evening music and cabaret shows. The event is divided into three phases: the Fuori Festival (Off-Festival) with widespread debates, the actual Festival over three days, and the Dopo Festival (After Festival) with the craft beer festival.
The Marano Corn Festival
The MAV is intertwined with the Marano Corn Festival, dedicated to the prized local corn of the territory. Sunday is the highlight, with the historical re-enactment of the corn harvest, a parade of vintage tractors, and the flavors of peasant tradition, in homage to the community's rural roots.
A territorial event
The MAV Festival involves students, businesses, public administrations, and families, with workshop days that connect high schools with the world of work. With over 30,000 certified visitors, it is one of the most important autumn events in the entire province of Vicenza.
MAV Festival — edition 2026
The 51st edition of the MAV Festival will be held from October 9 to 11, 2026, at the Piazzale Pubblici Spettacoli in Marano Vicentino, under the theme 'People - Environment - Work'. The event is divided into Fuori Festival (widespread debates), Festival (three days of exhibition, food area, music, and cabaret), and Dopo Festival with the craft beer festival. The combination with the Marano Corn Festival is confirmed.

How to get there
Marano Vicentino is in the province of Vicenza, near Schio and Thiene. By car: take the Thiene-Schio exit of the A31 Valdastico motorway, then follow signs for Viale Europa. The exhibition is held at the Piazzale Pubblici Spettacoli.
