The streets of Mathi turn into an open-air farm
Mathi in Fattoria is one of the most beloved spring events in Mathi, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, at the gateway to the Valli di Lanzo. For an entire day, the town's streets and squares transform into a genuine open-air farm, where the community gathers among stalls, animals, and activities for all ages.
The heart of the festival is the encounter between city and countryside. Along the town center streets, farmers, hobbyists, and exhibitors offer local products, fresh produce, and artisanal creations. The presence of farm animals makes the event particularly popular with children, who can experience the rural world in a direct and fun way.
Reaching its third edition in 2026, Mathi in Fattoria was born from the desire of the Municipality of Mathi and the BE DIFFERENT association to highlight the agricultural and rural identity of this Piedmontese territory. The event is an opportunity to rediscover traditional farming crafts, support local producers, and enjoy a simple, genuine day of celebration centered on conviviality and a connection with nature.
The 2026 edition was held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, with continuous hours from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The festival is concentrated in the town center, around the Mathi Town Hall, on Via Domenico Borla.
