About Margini Fest

Margini Fest is the Grosseto festival dedicated to punk, hardcore, metal, and Oi! sounds. Every late August, it transforms the Giardino degli Arcieri in the historic center of Grosseto into an open-air stage. Born from the grassroots and driven by a DIY (do it yourself) spirit, the festival features dozens of Italian and European bands alongside a rich selection of DJs, in an inclusive atmosphere filled with live music, organic food, local craft beer, and community vibes. It has become a staple of the alternative scene in the Tuscan Maremma.

The punk and hardcore festival of the Maremma

Margini Fest is one of the most vibrant events in the alternative music scene of Grosseto and the entire Tuscan Maremma. Every year, at the end of August, the festival brings together fans of punk, hardcore, metal, and Oi! from all over Italy and abroad for three days of concerts, DJ sets, and gatherings. The event takes place at the Giardino degli Arcieri, a reclaimed green space in the heart of the city's historic center, just fifteen minutes from the sea.

A DIY and barrier-free spirit

What sets Margini Fest apart is its authentic DIY (do it yourself) identity: the festival is born and grown from the ground up, animated by a community of volunteers and enthusiasts. The organization, managed by the team behind Margini Records, focuses on an inclusive and barrier-free atmosphere where live music intertwines with conviviality. There is a merchandise area, open stage diving, and a thoughtful gastronomic selection featuring organic food with vegetarian and vegan options, accompanied by local craft beer and free fresh water for everyone.

The 2026 edition: the fifth

The fifth edition is scheduled from Thursday, August 27 to Saturday, August 29, 2026, opening daily in the late afternoon with concerts running until late at night. The lineup features 19 bands and 6 DJs spread across the three evenings, showcasing names from the Italian and European hardcore and punk scenes. Expected artists include Raein, Sottopressione (in a highly anticipated reunion), Anestesia, Gli Ultimi, 66CL, Nowhiterag, The Modern Age Slavery, To The Ground, and many others.

A benchmark for the scene

In just a few years, Margini Fest has established itself as a fixed appointment for lovers of heavier and independent music in the province of Grosseto. Choosing a location in the historic center brings the festival closer to the city, while its proximity to the Maremma coast makes it an attractive destination for those combining music with a summer vacation. A celebration that showcases the vitality of the Tuscan underground culture, far beyond commercial circuits.
