Mangroovia: music, creativity, and participation in the heart of the Valdarno

Mangroovia is a one-day festival that brings the Circolo Arci Sauro Billi to life in the Ponte alle Forche area of San Giovanni Valdarno, in the province of Arezzo. The event weaves together live music, creative workshops, handicrafts, and a strong focus on the environment and youth participation, aiming to showcase local associations and provide young people with a concrete space to take center stage.

A project born from local youth

Mangroovia is promoted by the Youth Council of the Municipality of San Giovanni Valdarno in collaboration with a network of local entities: Circolo Arci Redstone, Circolo Arci Sauro Billi, Legambiente Valdarno Superiore, and the independent label Materiali Sonori. The synergy between these groups perfectly captures the spirit of the festival, which combines culture, social connection, and sustainability in a single day open to everyone.

Workshops, crafts, and commitment

The afternoon is dedicated to various activities held throughout the club's grounds: a paper-making workshop, a multi-material creation space, a crochet workshop, craft stalls, role-playing games, and recreational activities. There are also opportunities for discussion and talks on topics such as the environment, volunteering, and youth engagement, highlighting the festival's role as an occasion for community growth and connection.

Evenings lit up by music

As night falls, Mangroovia transforms into a true musical event, with a lineup alternating between emerging artists from the Tuscan and national independent scene, concluding with a DJ set. A selection of food, including vegan and traditional options, is available throughout the day in an informal and convivial atmosphere.

More than just a concert, Mangroovia is a small manifesto of how the youth of San Giovanni Valdarno envision culture: shared, sustainable, and rooted in the Tuscany region of Arezzo. It is a chance to discover the local music scene, support local associations, and spend a day dedicated to creativity and participation.
