The summer feast of the Val Canale village
In the heart of summer, the small village of Malborghetto comes alive with its Festival: a village feast that combines live music, theatre performances, exhibitions, markets, and, of course, the food and wine of Val Canale. It is an occasion for the community to open its doors to visitors and tell its story, amidst frescoed houses and the renowned Palazzo Veneziano that dominates the historic center.
The feast is organized by the Municipality of Malborghetto-Valbruna together with local associations, including the notable group of the Krampus of Malborghetto and the Pro Loco Il Tiglio Valcanale. A network of volunteers that each year builds a program capable of appealing to all ages, with particular attention to activities for families and children.
The festival alternates musical and theatrical moments with exhibitions and workshops, craft markets, and gastronomic offerings that bring the flavours of the Friulian mountains to the table. It is a feast that thrives on participation and that sense of community typical of small Alpine villages, where the summer festival remains one of the most anticipated events of the year.
