A weekend of games, color, and family fun at Parco Stefanelli in Traversagna
Maggiolandia is the event that brings the heart of spring to life at Parco Stefanelli in Traversagna, located in the Margine Coperta district within the municipality of Massa e Cozzile (Pistoia province, Tuscany). Organized directly by the municipal administration, the festival is tailored for families, with a program dedicated entirely to children and their parents. The name itself, a playful nod to the month of May, captures the spirit of the event: a weekend of games, colors, music, and outdoor fun.
Throughout the festival, the park turns into a massive playground. The program includes entertainment, creative workshops for children, live performances, and a large area dedicated to bouncy castles. There is no shortage of music and numerous surprises designed to engage both young and old, fostering a festive atmosphere that celebrates the community spirit of the town.
The event takes place in the green space of Parco Stefanelli, a public facility in the Traversagna-Margine Coperta area. Massa e Cozzile is a small town in the Valdinievole, in the heart of the Pistoia province, just a few kilometers from Montecatini Terme: a landscape defined by rolling hills, olive groves, and medieval villages, where local festivals keep the bond between the community and its territory alive. Maggiolandia perfectly embodies this tradition of convivial outdoor events that, with the arrival of the warm season, bring families back into the parks and squares.
Maggiolandia is a popular, free festival accessible to everyone, inviting local families and visitors to spend a few hours of leisure in the greenery. The combination of games, shows, and street food makes it an ideal destination for a spring weekend in the Valdinievole, set in a relaxed, child-friendly environment.
The 2026 edition of Maggiolandia confirmed the successful formula of the spring festival dedicated to families at Parco Stefanelli in Traversagna, in the municipality of Massa e Cozzile (PT). Due to uncertain weather, the municipal administration rescheduled the event, originally planned for May 16 and 17, over two days: Sunday, May 17 and Saturday, May 23, 2026. The program featured games, entertainment, creative workshops, shows, bouncy castles, music, and street food for a weekend of outdoor fun in the Valdinievole.
Maggiolandia is held at Parco Stefanelli, Via Calderaio 4, in the Margine Coperta-Traversagna district, Municipality of Massa e Cozzile (PT), Tuscany.
