The great spring review of Fiorano Modenese, between music, traditions, and solidarity
The Maggio Fioranese is the most anticipated event of the year in Fiorano Modenese, a town in the ceramic district in the province of Modena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. For almost a month, from early May to the first days of June, Piazza Ciro Menotti and the streets of the historic center come alive with about twenty free events: concerts, shows, markets, street food, and moments of solidarity. The review has been organized for over twenty years by the Comitato Fiorano in Festa, with the support of the Municipality and the collaboration of numerous local associations.
The music program is the true engine of the event and each year brings nationally renowned artists to Fiorano, often with exclusive dates. Alongside the concerts, there are comedy nights, tributes to international bands, dance performances, and festivals for the younger generation, in a mix that aims to engage all ages. All shows are free admission and take place in Piazza Ciro Menotti, with a possible transfer to the Astoria Theater in case of bad weather.
Maggio Fioranese would not be the same without its Emilian roots. Among the unmissable events is the Festa del buselein, dedicated to the typical local dessert (the bensone), with the amateur tasting competition "M'inzuppo". Along Via Vittorio Veneto, thematic markets unfold – crafts, creativity, vinyl records, food and wine – while in Piazza Martiri Partigiani Fioranesi, gnocco fritto, tigelle, and borlenghi prepared by volunteers are served. There is also the Fiorano Motor Fest, with exhibitions of sports cars and motorcycles in Via Santa Caterina.
One of the most beautiful aspects of the review is its charitable dimension: part of the proceeds from some initiatives are donated to local benefit projects, such as the construction of the Casa Giuly hospice in Spezzano. Schools, the parish, and volunteer associations play a leading role alongside the artists, making Maggio Fioranese much more than a calendar of events: a true community celebration that now attracts over 25,000 visitors.
From May 8 to June 1, 2026, Fiorano Modenese celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of its spring review, with about twenty free events combining music, shows, tradition, and solidarity. The heart of the celebration was Piazza Ciro Menotti, complemented by the streets and squares of the historic center. The event concluded with a turnout of over 25,000 visitors.
Among the new features of this edition were "Napoli a Passeggio" (May 8-10), three days dedicated to Neapolitan culinary and musical traditions, and a highly anticipated music lineup culminating in the events of the final weekend.
