Flavors and traditions of the Via Emilia in the heart of Carpi
Emilia Food Fest is the food and wine event that every year, at the end of September, transforms the historic center of Carpi into a large open-air theater dedicated to the flavors and traditions of the Via Emilia. For three days, the city's main square, the monumental Piazza Martiri, welcomes producers, food artisans, chefs, and visitors in a widespread celebration that tells the gastronomic identity of Emilia-Romagna and, in particular, of the province of Modena.
Along the square and the streets of the center, exhibition and sales stands are set up where you can discover, taste, and purchase the best products from the Emilian Food Valley: from cured meats to cheeses, from fresh pasta to balsamic vinegar, from Lambrusco to traditional desserts like the Modenese bensone. The event is not just a market of taste, but a true cultural program of meetings, insights, and entertainment.
Emilia Food Fest is born from the collaboration between associations and local institutions: the event is sponsored and supported by the Municipality of Carpi and promoted with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Modena and the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The organization is handled by SGP Grandi Eventi. Each edition focuses on the culture of Emilian food, aiming to enhance local excellences and transform the historic center of Carpi into a showcase of taste and hospitality.
The event generally takes place from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM throughout its duration, with free admission. Tastings and purchases at the stands are subject to payment according to the prices set by individual exhibitors, while most of the scheduled events (show cooking, talks, shows) are free to access.
Hosting Emilia Food Fest in Carpi is no coincidence: the city, the second most populous in the province of Modena, boasts one of the most elegant historic centers in Emilia, dominated by the spectacular Piazza Martiri and the Municipal Theater. Visiting the festival is also an opportunity to discover the city's historical and artistic heritage and to immerse yourself in Emilian hospitality, where good food is an integral part of the local identity.
The 2026 edition of Emilia Food Fest is scheduled in Carpi from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, 2026, confirming the usual end-of-September event in the historic center of the Modenese city.
This year again, Piazza Martiri will host exhibition and sales stands with the best products from the Emilian Food Valley, while the PalaPio area and the Food Live Area will provide the setting for show cooking, guided tastings, workshops, and talks. The squares and streets of the center will be enlivened by shows, musical performances, and street artists. The event runs from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with free admission.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including the list of guests, exhibitors, and daily appointments, will be announced in the weeks preceding the event on the official website and social media channels.
