The all-female folk music show that launched the new Pro Loco of Roccavione
Madamé – Music is Alive is the show that inaugurated the activities of the new Pro Loco Roccavione "Chi di Teit", created to enliven the cultural life of the Municipality of Roccavione, a small town in the Vermenagna Valley in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. The evening, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Roccavione, represented the first official initiative of a young and dynamic association, determined to build an increasingly rich calendar of events over time.
The star of the evening is the Madamé ensemble, an all-female group that presents Italian folk music through an intense, sensitive, and original lens. The artists interpret traditional repertoires and atmospheres with energy and a strong artistic personality, offering the audience a musical journey that weaves together memory, identity, and modernity. The title of the show, Music is Alive, encapsulates the idea of a folk tradition that is not mere nostalgia but living matter, still capable of stirring emotions today.
The show was held at the Multifunctional Center of Roccavione, the former bowling club converted into an event space, with free admission. The public's response was warm: over 250 people crowded the hall, a very positive sign for a newly established Pro Loco and for the entire Roccavione community.
More than just a single event, "Madamé – Music is Alive" represented an encouraging starting point for the future programming of the "Chi di Teit" Pro Loco, aimed at enhancing the Vermenagna Valley territory and strengthening its ability to attract visitors. Roccavione, nestled among the mountains of the Cuneo area along the road that climbs towards Limone Piemonte and the French border, thus finds a new cultural hub capable of uniting music, tradition, and sociality.
