Three nights of music, entertainment, and talent under the stars in Piazza Garibaldi, Loreto Aprutino
The LOCUS Loreto Fest is the highlight of the summer in Loreto Aprutino, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, nestled in the hills of the Pescara province in Abruzzo. Established in 2023 by the Pro Loco Aprutina, the festival has quickly captured the hearts of the Abruzzese public, becoming one of the most anticipated summer events in the Vestina area.
The heart of the event is the scenic Piazza Garibaldi, considered one of the most picturesque squares in Abruzzo, which serves as a grand open-air stage for three consecutive nights. The program alternates between pop and singer-songwriter music, cabaret, comedy, and moments dedicated to celebrating the traditions and flavors of the local area. Each evening begins at 9:30 PM with free admission, welcoming families, young people, and visitors alike.
The festival is curated by Pescara-born tenor Piero Mazzocchetti, whose artistic direction brings renowned names from the Italian music and entertainment scene to Loreto Aprutino. The event is hosted by Federica Peluffo, now a familiar face of the festival.
One of the most anticipated highlights is the Locus Song Contest, a singing competition that showcases the best emerging voices from all over Italy. Open to various age groups, the contest rewards talented performers selected before a jury of entertainment guests, reinforcing the festival's commitment to discovering new musical talent.
Beyond the concerts, LOCUS Loreto Fest is a perfect opportunity to explore Loreto Aprutino, famous for its extra virgin olive oil, the wines of the Vestina region, and the rich historical and artistic heritage of its medieval center. The event is a staple of the local summer calendar and offers yet another reason to visit this corner of the Pescara province in the heart of Abruzzo.
The fourth edition of the LOCUS Loreto Fest will be held from July 17 to 19, 2026, in Piazza Garibaldi, Loreto Aprutino (PE). The format of three free-admission evenings is confirmed, with shows starting at 9:30 PM, under the artistic direction of tenor Piero Mazzocchetti and hosted by Federica Peluffo. Featuring major national guests, comedy, local traditions, and regional flavors, the festival also presents the highly anticipated Locus Song Contest for emerging voices.
Program in Piazza Garibaldi, free admission. Any updates on times and guests will be communicated by the Pro Loco Aprutina.
Concerts by Massimo Di Cataldo and Valerio Scanu, comedy by Emanuela Aureli and Claudio Lauretta, and the final of the Locus Song Contest featuring the best emerging voices.
