A day dedicated to the land and its animals

The Livestock and Agriculture Fair is a vibrant new event in Copertino, a town in the province of Lecce, nestled in the heart of Salento and Puglia. Established in 2025 by the Ti lancio un sorriso association in collaboration with the Gruppo Amatori degli Animali Copertino and under the patronage of the City of Copertino, the event takes place on the symbolic date of May 1st, Labor Day, to honor the deep bond between the Salento community and the work of the fields.

Animals, equipment, and local produce

The heart of the fair is the livestock exhibition, featuring cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, and poultry showcased in the area set up at the Via Galatina Industrial Zone. Surrounding the animals is a true showcase of local agriculture: stands for professional agricultural equipment, machinery, farming supplies, and stalls dedicated to gourmet excellence and local products. The morning features award ceremonies for exhibitors and breeders, highlighting the dedication of those who keep Salento's farming traditions alive every day.

Vintage motors and the May 1st rally

Alongside the agricultural world, the fair dedicates ample space to the passion for vintage motors. The traditional static rally of Vespas, Lambrettas, Apes, and off-road vehicles brings the entire area to life with classic vehicles, guided tours, and dedicated awards, drawing enthusiasts and collectors from across Salento.

The evening lights up with music

The day doesn't end in the afternoon: the Livestock and Agriculture Fair continues until late, transforming into a festive and convivial gathering. The evening concert and live music accompany visitors and families in celebrating Labor Day, creating a popular festival atmosphere that brings different generations together.

An event for families and curious visitors

With free admission, animal displays, trade stands, vintage vehicle rallies, and entertainment, the fair is designed as a day for the whole family: an opportunity for children to discover farm animals and rural traditions, and for adults to rediscover the agricultural knowledge of the town of Copertino and the entire Salento region.
