A one-of-a-kind festival

The Life Beyond Life Film Festival (LBLFF) is an international film event conceived and directed by Annunziato Gentiluomo, presented as the only festival in the world entirely focused on eschatological themes: death, spirituality, and what we imagine might exist beyond life. Promoted by the Università Popolare ArtInMovimento APS, the festival has achieved a truly international dimension in just a few years, receiving hundreds of submissions from around the globe and selecting works capable of exploring the great questions of existence with depth and sensitivity.

The Avigliana stop, at the gateway to the Susa Valley

The LBLFF is a traveling event that winds through Turin and various municipalities of the Metropolitan City. Among the festival's venues is the Municipality of Avigliana, in the Province of Turin (Piedmont), which hosts a dedicated evening in the evocative Daniele Bertotto Auditorium on Via Martiri della Libertà. The Avigliana screening, held under the patronage of the Municipality of Avigliana and the Metropolitan City of Turin, offers a selection of Italian and international short films and documentaries, providing the local public with a rare opportunity to engage with world-class auteur cinema without leaving the heart of the lower Susa Valley.

Programming and content

Each edition of the festival offers a rich schedule spread over several days and venues, with competitive sections dedicated to feature films, documentaries, short films, short docs, animation, and art movies, in addition to the special Italian Afterlife section. Screenings are accompanied by meetings with authors, musical moments, and spaces for shared reflection. The Avigliana evening focuses in particular on short works and documentaries, both Italian and foreign, selected by the artistic direction.
