A literary festival among the Barolo vineyards

Libri in Vista — Author Encounters is a cultural festival promoted by the "Don G. Rubino" Civic Library of the Municipality of La Morra, in the province of Cuneo. Every year, between spring and early summer, the Langhe village opens its doors to a cycle of meetings with writers, hosted in the evocative Cantina Comunale of La Morra. The festival stems from the library's desire to bring contemporary literature to the local public and the many visitors who frequent the Langhe, a land of Barolo and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Close encounters with authors

The heart of Libri in Vista is the direct dialogue between the author and the audience. Each event revolves around a recent book: the guest shares its origins, reads passages, and engages with readers in an informal and welcoming atmosphere. The choice of the Cantina Comunale as a venue is no coincidence: it is here that the culture of wine and the culture of books meet, in a space that is itself a symbol of the identity of La Morra and the entire Barolo area.

The 2026 events

The 2026 edition takes place from Sunday, May 17 to Sunday, July 5, with a series of meetings spread across the weekends. The inaugural event, on Sunday, May 17 at 5:00 PM, features Turin-based writer Enrica Tesio, who will present her book Cose che ti dico mentre dormi. Subsequent meetings will enliven the Cantina Comunale until the beginning of summer, guiding readers through a journey of narrative, storytelling, and reflection.

Visiting La Morra during Libri in Vista means combining a passion for books with the discovery of one of Piedmont's most fascinating villages. From the famous panoramic terrace, you can overlook the entire amphitheater of Barolo vineyards, while the historic center holds cellars, wine bars, and views that tell the history of the Langhe. The festival is an invitation to slow down, dedicate time to reading, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a territory where culture, landscape, and food and wine blend naturally.
