The summer of books in Lerici, between encounters and freedom of thought
LibrAria is the summer literary festival of Lerici, in the heart of the Gulf of Poets, in the province of La Spezia. Curated by writer and humorist Dario Vergassola, it offers a long series of meetings with authors, intellectuals, and storytellers, transforming the Lerici summer into an occasion for dialogue and freedom of thought.
From late June to late August, the festival accompanies residents and tourists with evening events. After the inauguration in Zanego, the meetings move to Largo Tarabotto, generally at 9:30 PM, in an informal and welcoming atmosphere overlooking the sea.
Among the featured authors are well-known names in Italian literature and journalism, from Carlo Lucarelli to Fabio Genovesi, from Andrea Vitali to Serena Bortone. The festival, with free admission, confirms Lerici as a place historically linked to culture and poetry, faithful to the vocation of its Gulf of Poets.
The 2026 edition of LibrAria enlivens the summer of Lerici from June 27 to August 27, under the curation of Dario Vergassola. The inauguration is held on June 27 in Zanego, at the Pian della Chiesa farm; from July, the meetings move to Largo Tarabotto, at 9:30 PM.
The programme brings together writers, journalists, and storytellers for evenings of dialogue and reflection, all with free admission.
The meetings are held in Largo Tarabotto, in Lerici, generally at 9:30 PM, starting in July. The inauguration takes place in Zanego.
All events are free and open to residents and visitors.
