A tradition spanning almost sixty years
The Festival Internazionale del Jazz della Spezia is one of the most deeply rooted music festivals in the Ligurian capital. Reaching its 58th edition in 2026, it is now among the historic jazz festivals in Italy, capable of bringing major international stars to the heart of the Golfo dei Poeti. Artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Lorenzo Cimino, under the organization of the Teatro Civico della Spezia.
Where it takes place
The concerts are held in the two main venues in the city center: Piazza Europa, the large square in front of the Cathedral of Christ the King, and the PIN La Spezia, an intergenerational hub housed in the former historic gardens. Two different but complementary settings, in the heart of a seaside city that lives its summer outdoors.
A world-class lineup
The festival is distinguished by the quality of its guests: guitarists, pianists, singers, and drummers who have made the history of jazz and contemporary music. Over the years, the Spezia stage has hosted legends of the genre, confirming the event's international vocation.

La Spezia Jazz Festival — edition 2026
The 58th edition of the Festival Internazionale del Jazz della Spezia unfolds over almost a month, from July 8th to August 4th, 2026, between Piazza Europa and the PIN. The lineup brings together some of the most important names in international jazz and music, with evenings dedicated to great guitarists, acclaimed pianists, virtuosic drummers, and vocalists.
Artistic direction is by Maestro Lorenzo Cimino, who has curated a program capable of appealing to both genre faithful and a broader audience.

How to get there
La Spezia is well-connected by train (La Spezia Centrale station on the Genoa-Pisa line) and by car via the A12 and A15 motorways. Piazza Europa and the PIN are located in the city center, a few minutes from the station.
