The local village festival by the Pro Loco of Lenzima, featuring pasta, magic, and family fun
The Spring Maccheronata is one of the most cherished events for the community of Lenzima, a small hamlet in the municipality of Isera, in the Vallagarina valley, in the autonomous province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Every spring, the Pro Loco of Lenzima, together with many volunteers, transforms the village playground into a festive space where residents and visitors gather to share a day of joy and conviviality.
The most anticipated moment is the distribution of the traditional maccheroni, which kicks off at noon. It is a simple, genuine dish, carefully prepared by volunteers, which attracts people from all over the Vallagarina territory every year. Around the tables, the warm and familiar atmosphere typical of Trentino village festivals is created, where food becomes an occasion for meeting and socializing.
The Spring Maccheronata is designed especially for families and little ones. The program includes face painting to color the children's faces, and in the afternoon, one of the most awaited shows: the magic of Magico Camillo, ready to amaze young and old with his sleight-of-hand tricks. There is also a bar and desserts prepared by the volunteers, completing the day in a carefree, festive atmosphere.
For years, the Maccheronata has represented a moment of identity for the small community of Lenzima. In historical editions, the festival also included games and tournaments, such as the famous tug-of-war competition between teams from Trentino and beyond, a testament to the participatory and playful spirit that characterizes the event. Today, the festival retains its popular and welcoming character, open to anyone who wants to spend a few hours of lightheartedness in Lenzima while enjoying a traditional dish.
Situated on the slopes overlooking the Adige valley, Isera is a village famous for its wine, Marzemino, and for a landscape of vineyards and hills that offer evocative views. Visiting Lenzima during the Spring Maccheronata is also an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Trentino, far from the major tourist circuits, where community traditions are still alive and experienced with genuine participation.
