A summer night of local wines, Friulian flavours, and stars
Le Notti del Vino (The Nights of Wine) are a widespread event that every summer involves dozens of municipalities in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, united in the network of Cittร del Vino (Cities of Wine). In Povoletto, in the hilly Friuli region, the event takes place in the charming setting of Villa Pitotti and transforms an August evening into a journey through the flavours and wines of the territory.
The heart of the evening is the municipal wine bar, which offers wines from the producers of the Municipality of Povoletto, accompanied by a tasting menu made of Friulian excellences: Prosciutto di San Daniele (cured ham), cooked ham with kren (horseradish sauce), crostini with caramelized onion, local salami, and cheeses from the Ravosa dairy, ending with typical biscuits. A gastronomic journey that tells the story of Friuli's food and wine richness.
The celebration is not just for adults: in the early evening, workshops for the little ones are planned, while live music fills the air from the stage. To make the atmosphere even more magical, there are astronomical observations with telescopes from the AFAM Astronomical Station of Remanzacco, allowing you to gaze at the August sky between one glass and another.
Organized by the Municipality of Povoletto together with the Consorzio Pro Loco Torre Natisone (Association of Local Pro Loco Committees), Le Notti del Vino promotes the winemaking vocation of a territory that has made its wines an identity. It's the perfect opportunity to discover the Friuli of taste in a convivial and refined evening, accessible to all.
In 2026, Povoletto will once again host its edition of Le Notti del Vino, featuring wines from local producers, Friulian tastings, music, and the starry August sky.
The 2026 program, following the model of previous editions, includes the evening opening of the municipal wine bar with wines from Povoletto producers, a tasting menu based on typical Friulian products, workshops for children, live music, and astronomical observations. The Municipality of Povoletto has published a call for associations interested in organizing, with applications due by June 20, 2026; the date and detailed program will be announced later.
