Acoustic music festival in the mountains of Valsugana
Lagorai d'InCanto is one of the most evocative music festivals in Trentino-Alto Adige: acoustic concerts brought literally to the mountains, among the huts, alpine lakes, and crags of the Lagorai Chain and the Cima d'Asta Group, in the heart of Valsugana. The stage is neither a theater nor a town square, but the mountain itself: to attend the concerts, you must hike, climb the trails, and reach the listening spot, where musical notes intertwine with the sounds of nature.
The festival was born in 2017 from an idea by the Municipality of Castel Ivano (Autonomous Province of Trento) and quickly established itself as a signature summer event in Valsugana, coordinated by APT Valsugana in collaboration with local municipalities. Year after year, the format has solidified: a few carefully curated events, each set in a different corner of the Lagorai Chain, allowing participants to discover lesser-known mountain spots.
The common thread is Italian singer-songwriter music performed in an acoustic version: over the years, these natural stages have hosted artists such as Luca Barbarossa, Simone Cristicchi, Diodato, Niccolò Fabi, Paola Turci, and Davide Van De Sfroos. The acoustic format, without large sound systems, enhances the voice and instruments, creating a rare intimacy between the artist and the audience, who sit on the grass of high-altitude pastures.
Lagorai d'InCanto is also a way to rediscover the history of these places: the Lagorai Chain holds traces of the Great War, with trenches, walkways, and remnants emerging from the rocks. The festival thus combines music with the environmental and cultural enhancement of Valsugana, inviting the public to experience the mountains in a slow and mindful way.
The 2026 edition of Lagorai d'InCanto consists of three events between June and July, all at noon and with free admission, set in different locations of the Valsugana mountains. The grand finale is entrusted to Davide Van De Sfroos on Monte Lefre, in the Municipality of Castel Ivano, the historical heart of the festival.
Each concert requires a hike to reach the natural stage: an experience that combines singer-songwriter music, hiking, and alpine landscapes in the spirit of slowness and wonder.
The Castel Ivano stage is held on Monte Lefre, in the "Prai de Camilo" area. From the high-altitude parking lots, the concert site can be reached with a 25-45 minute hike; alternatively, you can start from Pradellano via a route of about 6 km (2-2.5 hours, elevation gain of about 500 meters).
All concerts are free of charge.
