About Lago DiVino

Lago DiVino is the food and wine festival that transforms the shores of Lake Scanno, in the heart of the Abruzzo mountains, into an oasis of taste and music every summer. Over two days, selected wineries, local chefs, and artists bring the famous heart-shaped lake to life with tastings of Abruzzo wines, live cooking shows, local delicacies, and music under the stars. A free-entry gastronomic journey for all the senses, celebrating wine culture, culinary traditions, and the natural beauty of one of Italy's most picturesque villages.

Lago DiVino: where wine meets the heart-shaped lake

Lago DiVino is the summer food and wine festival held on the shores of Lake Scanno, in the municipality of Scanno, in the province of L'Aquila, nestled in the mountainous heart of Abruzzo. For two days, the banks of this famous heart-shaped lake, set among the peaks of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, turn into an oasis of taste, aromas, and music where wine takes centre stage.

A gastronomic journey through Abruzzo's wineries

The heart of the event is the gastronomic trail winding along the lakeshore: selected local wineries offer tastings of great Abruzzo wines, from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo to Trebbiano, and from Cerasuolo to native white varieties. Alongside the tasting stands, visitors can discover traditional local products from the Abruzzo mountains, ranging from cheeses and cured meats to Navelli saffron and traditional desserts.

Live cooking shows, music, and atmosphere

Lago DiVino is more than just tastings: the programme features live cooking shows with local chefs who showcase and reinterpret regional ingredients, accompanied by live music during the sunset hours, when the warm light reflects on the lake's surface. It is an experience designed to engage all the senses, blending authentic flavours, melodies, and one of the most photographed landscapes in Abruzzo.

Scanno, one of Italy's most beautiful villages

The event is set in Scanno, a medieval village famous for its historic centre, traditional costumes, goldsmithing, the presentosa, and of course, its heart-shaped lakeโ€”one of the most evocative spots in the Apennines. Lago DiVino was created to promote this region by combining wine tourism, gastronomy, and landscape, showcasing Abruzzo's wine excellence in a stunning natural setting.

A free event for everyone

The festival, which reached its second edition in 2025 following its 2024 debut, is a free-entry summer highlight, perfect for families, wine enthusiasts, and tourists seeking an authentic experience among nature and flavours. Dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced.
