Taste in the Ancient Maritime Republic

Noli, in the Province of Savona, is one of the most charming villages on the Riviera di Ponente, proud of its past as a Maritime Republic. In September, the Passeggiata dei Pescatori (Fishermen's Promenade), along the seafront, becomes the stage for La Repubblica del Gusto, a food and wine review now in its twenty-first edition, organized by Pro Loco Noli APS.

Slow Food and Zero-Km Products

The event, sponsored by the City of Noli and the Slow Food presidia of Savona, Albenga, Finale, and Alassio, features over twenty stands dedicated to zero-km products and local excellences. Among the offerings, fresh fish of the day to taste, in a route that promotes short supply chains and quality.

Fishing with the Sciabica

The identity core of the festival is the demonstration of fishing with the 'sciabica', a traditional Ligurian technique where two fishermen, from a small dinghy, cast a large bag net into the water while others on the shore pull it in by hand. An ancient practice that tells the maritime story of Noli. La Repubblica del Gusto, recognized as an Authentic Event of the Liguria Region, is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a weekend of flavors, tradition, and the sea.
