The free urban festival in Lanzo Torinese featuring music, art, sports, and inclusion
The 'L Roc Lanzo Urban Festival is one of the most vibrant summer events in the region. Born as a multidisciplinary urban festival, it brings the historic center of Lanzo Torinese—a town in the Province of Turin and the gateway to the stunning Lanzo Valleys in Piedmont—to life every year. The beating heart of the event is Piazza Rolle, which transforms into an open-air stage for three days.
What makes 'L Roc special is its cross-disciplinary nature: it is not just about concerts, but a blend of different creative languages. Alongside the main stage, where emerging bands and new Italian singer-songwriters perform, the festival features the Merkato Roc, an artisanal and artistic market set up along the town streets, as well as art exhibitions, live mural painting, workshops, and a rich area dedicated to urban sports, including basketball tournaments, skate demos, and bike trials.
Inclusion and social awareness are integral parts of the event. Each edition focuses on a core theme and complements the artistic program with awareness-raising moments and projects dedicated to youth. For 2026, the chosen theme is «Beyond the Fracture. Rebirth», a reflection on our ability to turn difficulties into new possibilities.
One of the hallmarks of 'L Roc is that it is completely free of charge. All concerts, activities, and initiatives offer free admission, a choice that makes it a popular and accessible event, attracting families, young people, and music lovers from Lanzo, the surrounding valleys, and the rest of the Metropolitan City of Turin every summer.
The 'L Roc Lanzo Urban Festival 2026 returns to Lanzo Torinese from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th for its fourth edition, built around the theme «Beyond the Fracture. Rebirth». As every year, Piazza Rolle and the historic center will host concerts, an artisanal market, exhibitions, and sports activities, all with free admission. The 2026 musical program features names from the new Italian indie and singer-songwriter scene, alongside several emerging bands.
Numerous emerging groups and artists announced for this edition will also perform on the festival stage: Frenesi, Nil, Xylema, Bolena, and Panjea. Alongside the concerts, the historic center will host the Merkato Roc with artisanal stalls, exhibitions, live street art, and urban sports activities.
Lanzo Torinese can be reached by car from Turin in about 40 minutes via the SP1, or by train using the SFM (Metropolitan Railway Service) Torino–Ceres line, getting off at the Lanzo stop. Activities take place in the historic center, particularly in Piazza Rolle and along Via Umberto I.
Admission to all concerts and activities is free.
