The creative Advent market at the Thalguterhaus in Lagundo
The Kreativmarktl Algund – Christmas Edition is the winter version of the creative market held at the Thalguterhaus, the cultural center of Lagundo, a town in the Merano area near Bolzano, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. During the Advent weekends, the foyer and the Bürgersaal (civic hall) of the venue are filled with carefully curated stalls, where around thirty exhibitors showcase their artisanal creations. It is an event designed for those who appreciate unique, handmade pieces, away from the hustle and bustle of mass-market fairs.
The hallmark of the Kreativmarktl is authentic craftsmanship and variety. At the stalls, you will find items handmade by local artisans and creatives:
The Peter Thalguter Cultural Center, located in Hans-Gamper-Platz in Lagundo, is the hub of the town's social and cultural life. Hosting the market indoors, between the foyer and the civic hall, ensures a cozy and sheltered environment even on the coldest Advent days—a significant advantage over the open-air markets in the area.
During the Christmas season, Lagundo and nearby Merano offer various events, from Christmas markets to local festivities. The Kreativmarktl stands out for its intimate and artisanal character: it is the ideal destination for those looking for a unique gift while supporting local South Tyrolean creatives. Admission is free.
The Kreativmarktl Algund – Christmas Edition 2026 returns to the Thalguterhaus in Lagundo for two weekends dedicated to creative crafts and Advent gifts. In the foyer and Bürgersaal of the cultural center, exhibitors will offer candles, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, Christmas decorations, and many unique handmade pieces. Admission is free.
Around 30 local artisans and creatives will exhibit their handmade works: candles, jewelry, wall clocks, bags, ceramics, textiles, Christmas decorations, and original gift ideas.
