Three nights of live music, entertainment, and charity in the heart of Tuscany
Io vado a Orciano — whose full title is "Io vado a Orciano… insieme per aiutare gli altri" (I'm going to Orciano… together to help others) — is one of the most beloved summer events in the Pisan hinterland. For over fifteen years, the tiny village of Orciano Pisano, one of the smallest municipalities in Tuscany, has transformed for three nights into an open-air stage filled with music, laughter, and great food. The festival was born from a simple and generous idea: to have fun together while raising funds for those in need.
The heart of the event is the Via Piano della Tora stage, where live concerts, comedy shows, DJ sets, and entertainment for all ages take place every evening. Events typically start around 7:00 PM and continue late into the night, maintaining the warm, familiar atmosphere typical of Tuscan village festivals. All shows are completely free to attend, as the organizers always emphasize: no tickets are required.
Alongside the music, local gastronomy is a true star. The large covered dining area offers authentic local dishes, artisanal sandwiches, and regional specialties prepared by volunteers. It is the perfect place to have dinner before the concerts and stay to chat, all while contributing to a charitable cause.
What makes Io vado a Orciano special is its purpose: most of the proceeds are donated to the A.G.B.A.L.T. Onlus (Parents' Association for Children with Leukemia and Tumors) in Pisa, which supports young patients and their families through projects like L'Isola dei Girasoli and the Villaggio del Sorriso. In about ten years, the event has raised and donated tens of thousands of euros, proving how a small village can make a big difference.
Located on the hills between Pisa and Livorno, Orciano Pisano belongs to the Province of Pisa, in the heart of Tuscany. It is a land of ancient rural traditions, vineyards, and olive groves, part of the Terre di Pisa area. The event is a perfect opportunity to discover an authentic and lesser-known corner of the region, far from the beaten tourist paths, where Tuscan hospitality can be felt at every step.
The 2026 edition of the charity event in Orciano Pisano will be held from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19, 2026, on the Via Piano della Tora stage. The usual formula is confirmed: three nights of live concerts, comedy, DJ sets, and a rich dining area with Tuscan cuisine, all with completely free admission.
The detailed program and artist line-up will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event on official channels (website and Facebook page "Io Vado A Orciano Festival"). Once again this year, the proceeds will go to the A.G.B.A.L.T. Onlus of Pisa to support children suffering from leukemia and cancer.
The detailed program and line-up for the 17th edition will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event on the "Io Vado A Orciano Festival" Facebook page and the official website. The usual structure includes three evenings (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with live concerts, comedy shows, DJ sets, and a dining area open from 7:00 PM.
Orciano Pisano can be reached by car via the SS206 Emilia (Pisa-Cecina); take the exit for Orciano Pisano. The nearest train stations are in Pisa and Cecina, from which you can continue by car or local connections. The event area is located on Via Piano della Tora.
Admission to all shows is completely free. Evenings generally start around 7:00 PM. A large covered dining area with local cuisine is available.
