Music, dialogue, and community at Parco PA.T.CH. in Chieri
Intrecci Festival is a vibrant event that transforms Parco PA.T.CH. in Chieri, in the province of Turin (Piedmont), into a hub of music, conversation, and community every May 1st. Launched in 2025, the festival aims to restore meaning, memory, and a voice to Labor Day through a program that blends entertainment with social advocacy. Its very name reflects its spirit: mending ties and building connections between different people, languages, and generations.
The festival's heart beats to the rhythm of live music: each evening, the park stage hosts emerging bands and singer-songwriters, primarily from the Piedmontese and Northern Italian scenes, spanning pop, alternative rock, soul, and funk. But Intrecci is much more than just a concert series: throughout the day, the public can participate in talks and debates on urgent contemporary issues such as labor, human rights, mental health, and exploitation, curated by various local associations from the Chieri area.
Intrecci Festival is part of the Giovani Intrecci project by the Fondazione della Comunitร Chierese ETS, supported by Compagnia di San Paolo, and stems from the initiative of local youth groups and associations. It is a grassroots event where young people are not just spectators but active organizers, with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin and the support of the Municipality of Chieri.
With an attendance exceeding 4,000 people in its very first edition, Intrecci has quickly established itself as one of the most cherished events of the Chieri spring. Admission is completely free, and the atmosphere is that of a large, contemporary local festival, successfully bridging the tradition of Labor Day with the creativity of the new generation.
The 2026 edition of Intrecci Festival, subtitled "Intrecci 2 โ Patch-ami ancora", confirmed the winning formula of the first year: two days where music, dialogue, creativity, and community intersect. Parco PA.T.CH. in Chieri hosted a variety of concerts, stand-up comedy shows, talks on urgent social issues, the inauguration of new street art, and craft and vintage markets. A rich, free program designed to give meaning and a voice to Labor Day through youth leadership.
Parco PA.T.CH. is located in Piazza Caselli, in the center of Chieri. By car, Chieri is reachable from Turin via the SP10 in about 20-30 minutes. By train, Chieri station is connected to Turin Porta Nuova via the SFM1 line, followed by a short walk to the park.
Admission to the festival is completely free.
The park features food and drink areas, craft and vintage markets, and spaces dedicated to local associations. Activities run from 12:00 PM until late in the evening.
