Global street food from five continents in Piazza Scandaliato, Sciacca
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The International Street Food festival is one of Italy's most renowned traveling events dedicated to high-quality street food, making a stop in Sciacca, in the heart of the Agrigento province, Sicily. For a few days, the central Piazza Angelo Scandaliato transforms into an authentic culinary village, with dozens of food trucks and stalls offering specialties from all five continents.
Visitors can wander freely between stalls and sample a bit of everything: from Abruzzese arrosticini to fried pizza, from Pugliese bombette to Cinta Senese burgers, from Spanish paella to churros, and from Ariccia porchetta to Hungarian kurtos, along with Mexican and Uruguayan cuisine, craft beers, and traditional desserts. It is a culinary journey designed to satisfy every palate, from the curious to the true gourmet.
The event is promoted by A.I.R.S. - Associazione Italiana Ristoratori di Strada, founded by Alfredo Orofino, in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Agrigento and under the patronage of the Municipality of Sciacca. It is one of many stops on a national tour that travels through Italy's most beautiful squares every year, bringing the same winning formula: global cuisine, a relaxed atmosphere, and free admission.
The International Street Food festival is designed for everyone: families, groups of friends, tourists, and street food enthusiasts gather in the square to share a convivial experience centered on taste and cultural exchange. Evenings are often enlivened by music and entertainment, which complement the food offerings and turn the square into a lively meeting point until late at night.
Set in the charming historic center of Sciacca, a famous spa and ceramic town overlooking the Strait of Sicily, the event fits perfectly into the local gastronomic and tourist landscape. Over the years, it has become a recurring feature in the city's calendar, appearing in both the summer edition linked to the 'Estate Saccense' and the winter version included in the 'Christmas in Sciacca' program.
The International Street Food festival will return to Sciacca in 2026, confirming its place as a recurring event in the city's calendar, both in the summer program linked to the 'Estate Saccense' and in the winter version of 'Christmas in Sciacca'. At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced by the organizers.
As per tradition, the event will bring food trucks and stalls featuring street food specialties from five continents to Piazza Angelo Scandaliato, with free admission. The detailed program will be published closer to the event: we recommend following the channels of the Municipality of Sciacca and the organizers for updates.
