Two evenings of music, talks, and installations in the Udine Castle Square, dedicated to young people
For two evenings at the beginning of summer, the Udine Castle Square lights up with music, words, and lights: it's Insolitudine Frame, the festival that since 2024 has given a voice to Friulian youth culture. Organized by the associations Giomucu APS and BLoom, the event is much more than a series of concerts: it's a true laboratory of social and artistic experimentation, designed to give young people back the city's public spaces.
The program intertwines live concerts, international DJ sets, talks on current issues, workshops, and immersive installations. The format alternates emerging artists from the Friulian scene with prominent national and international guests, with a focus on new expressive forms: from the theremin, the world's oldest instrument played without physical contact, to multisensory experiences with videomapping and augmented reality set up at the Casa della Contadinanza.
Insolitudine Frame enjoys the support of the Municipality of Udine, the Fondazione Friuli, the Chamber of Commerce, and local entities. The choice of the Castle Square, a panoramic balcony overlooking the city and the Friulian plain, confirms the festival's commitment to fostering dialogue between historical heritage and contemporary creativity.
With its focus on critical thinking, technology, and care, Insolitudine Frame has carved out a leading role in Udine's cultural calendar in just a few editions, becoming the occasion where Friulian youth gather, listen, discuss, and dance under the Castle walls.
The 2026 edition of Insolitudine Frame returns to Udine Castle Square on Friday, June 5th, and Saturday, June 6th, with access from 6:30 PM. Two evenings packed with live music, international DJ sets, talks, and immersive installations at the Casa della Contadinanza, supported by the Municipality of Udine and local entities.
For both days, at the Casa della Contadinanza, the immersive experience "Stato Intermedio 36" with videomapping, augmented reality, and soundscapes curated by Creazioni Indigeste, Marco Floran, and Davide Marzona.
The festival takes place in the Castle Square, reachable on foot from the historic center of Udine; some activities are held at the nearby Casa della Contadinanza.
Paid admission, tickets can be purchased online through the TicketSms circuit. Access is allowed from 6:30 PM on both days.
