The advanced training school on Pasolini's work in Casarsa
In Casarsa della Delizia, a Friulian town closely linked to the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini, the name "Academiuta" is not chosen by chance: it recalls the Academiuta di lenga furlana, the small circle of poetry in the Friulian language that the young Pasolini founded right here in 1945. From this heritage is born the Academiuta Pasolini, an advanced training school that the Centro Studi Pier Paolo Pasolini dedicates each year to young Italian and international scholars of Pasolini's work.
The initiative, curated by Professor Roberto Carnero, offers two days of study and direct engagement with the poet's work, aimed at university students. It is a valuable opportunity to immerse oneself in the writing, cinema, poetry, and thought of one of the most important intellectuals of the 20th century, starting from the very places that shaped his development. The school is part of the broader programme of the Study Centre, which also organises the annual international conference in November.
The 2026 edition is placed under the sign of "Dopostoria", the guiding concept that directs the Study Centre's cultural programming for the year, in dialogue with the international conference dedicated to "Pier Paolo Pasolini and the intellectuals of the 20th Century". The Academiuta testifies to the educational commitment of the Casarsa institution, which, in addition to the school for young scholars, also offers a training course for secondary school teachers. An event that makes Casarsa an international reference point for Pasolini studies.
The 2026 edition of Academiuta Pasolini is scheduled for November 4 and 5 in Casarsa della Delizia. The advanced training school, curated by Professor Roberto Carnero for the Centro Studi Pier Paolo Pasolini, offers two days of study and direct engagement with the poet's work, aimed at Italian and international university students.
The guiding theme for 2026 is "Dopostoria". The school precedes the Study Centre's annual international conference, scheduled for November 6-7, dedicated to "Pier Paolo Pasolini and the intellectuals of the 20th Century", and is complemented by a training course for secondary school teachers.
