The Festival della Canzone Friulana is one of the oldest and most beloved musical events in Friuli: a singing competition entirely dedicated to new songs in the Friulian language, the marilenghe. The return after six years

After a six-year break, the event returns in 2026 thanks to the commitment of the Fondazione Friuli and regional institutions, with the final hosted in the heart of Udine, in Piazza Libertà, as part of the great Friuli Doc festival. Fifteen finalists present their new songs accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by Maestro Rudy Fantin, in an evening that combines tradition and new voices.

The festival is much more than a musical competition: it is an opportunity to demonstrate the vitality of the Friulian language and its ability to become contemporary song, blending pop, singer-songwriter styles, and folk sounds.
