A theater season in the heart of Trapani

The 'Il teatro si racconta' series is the theater season at Cine Teatro Ariston, a historic venue on Corso Italia in Trapani, on the western tip of Sicily. Every year, from November to May, the program offers eight events ranging from drama to comedy, and from musical variety to full-scale musicals, bringing some of the most beloved names in Italian theater and entertainment to the city.

The 2025/2026 season

The artistic direction, led by Alessandro Costa, has curated a varied and highly popular program. The eight shows on the calendar are:

• December 11, 2025 – Gemelli di Guidonia, 'Intelligenza musicale 2.0'
• January 15, 2026 – Francesco Paolantoni, 'Salotto Paolantoni'
• January 22, 2026 – I Bugiardini, 'B.L.U.E. – Il musical completamente improvvisato'
• February 13, 2026 – Barbara Foria, 'Basta un filo di rossetto…!'
• March 18, 2026 – Giovanni Scifoni, 'FRA' – San Francesco, la superstar del Medioevo'
• April 16, 2026 – Marco Falaguasta, 'È intelligente… ma non studia!'
• May 9, 2026 – Maria Grazia Cucinotta, 'Malena e il Tango'

A cultural landmark for the city

For years, Cine Teatro Ariston has been one of the main cultural hubs of the Municipality of Trapani and the entire province. The series attracts a loyal audience thanks to a proven formula: great performers, diverse genres, and a special focus on comedy and variety, consistently filling the house. Shows are generally held in the evening, with curtain times varying between weekends and weekdays depending on the schedule.

Subscriptions and tickets

The series can be enjoyed via a subscription package for all eight shows, with three price tiers: First Sector Stalls 230 euros, Second Sector Stalls 195 euros, and Gallery 160 euros. Payment plans are available. Subscriptions and individual tickets can be purchased at the box offices of the circuit's cinemas (Ariston, Royal, and Diana) and online via the Liveticket platform.

Attending a show at the Ariston is also the perfect opportunity to discover Trapani, a city overlooking the sea between the salt pans and the Egadi Islands.
