Il Mercato della Terra di Cogne is the first Slow Food Earth Market in the Aosta Valley. It is held in Cogne, in the province of Aosta, at an altitude of 1,600 meters, in the main center of the Gran Paradiso National Park. Once a month, in Piazza Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto, about twenty small producers, mainly from the Aosta Valley, gather.
Fresh, seasonal, and sustainable products
The market follows the Slow Food philosophy: fresh, seasonal products from sustainable agriculture. Alpine pasture cheeses, vegetables, honey, preserves, and other local specialties tell the story of mountain agriculture and the biodiversity of the Alps. The event is organized by the Slow Food Valle d'Aosta Convivium, the food community 'La Terra che Ride per l'agroecologia', the Municipal Administration of Cogne, and the Consortium of Tourist Operators of the Cogne Valley.
A square brought back to life
The square hosting the market was historically the site of the town's weekly market. With the Mercato della Terra, Cogne has renewed its vocation, transforming it into a meeting place between producers and consumers, where you can buy good, clean, and fair food and get to know those who grow it.

For 2026, Il Mercato della Terra di Cogne is scheduled for several events spread between June and September, in Piazza Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Each edition brings together about twenty small producers from the Aosta Valley with fresh, seasonal products from sustainable agriculture.

Il Mercato della Terra di Cogne is held once a month, in Piazza Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The planned dates for the 2026 season include: June 27, July 4, July 18, August 1, August 15, August 29, and September 12.

- Alpine pasture cheeses, seasonal vegetables, honey, preserves, and typical products;

Cogne is about 27 km from Aosta along the SR47. The market square is easily accessible on foot from public parking lots, about 200 meters from the bus terminal.
