A day of contemporary circus at Corte Agresti in Traversetolo
Il Circo a Corte is an event dedicated to contemporary circus held at Corte Agresti, in the heart of Traversetolo, a municipality in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna. The free-admission event transforms the ancient courtyard into a space for meeting and sharing where families, children, young people, and adults can be surprised by artists who combine comedy, poetry, and circus skills in an original and engaging performance.
Il Circo a Corte is one of the stops on the Festival Incredibile, the travelling showcase conceived and promoted by L'Ufficio Incredibile APS, a cultural association active for over ten years in organizing street circus and music events. Now in its fifth edition in 2026, the festival travels through the plains and Apennines of Parma, Modena, and Reggio Emilia, thanks to a network of municipalities, associations, and local entities that share a widespread and participatory cultural vision. The project is realized with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture, the Emilia-Romagna Region, and with the three-year support "Sostegno (R)esistente" from the Fondazione Cariparma.
Some of the most appreciated companies in the contemporary circus scene, both Italian and international, perform on the Corte Agresti stage. The shows range from poetic clowning to the Cyr wheel, from acrobatics to wild clowning, in a succession of performances designed to thrill and entertain spectators of all ages and backgrounds. The fusion of circus skills and contemporary dramaturgy allows everyone to laugh, be amazed, and be moved at the same time.
Throughout the day, the courtyard hosts an artisan market with exhibitors and original creations, as well as a refreshment stand managed by the Pro Loco of Traversetolo. It's also an ideal opportunity to visit the nearby Museo Renato Brozzi, dedicated to the renowned Traversetolo engraver and medalist.
Under the patronage of the Municipality of Traversetolo, Il Circo a Corte represents a moment of popular celebration and territorial enhancement, capable of bringing the language of contemporary circus to a historic and welcoming setting. An afternoon of performances, conviviality, and wonder that confirms the cultural vitality of this corner of the province of Parma.
The 2026 edition of Il Circo a Corte takes place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Corte Agresti in Traversetolo, as the second stop of the Festival Incredibile.
