About Iapri Fest

Iapri Fest is the Musical Balconies Festival held in Naso, in the Nebrodi area of the province of Messina. For three summer days, artists perform directly from the balconies of the village's historic buildings, turning the alleys, staircases, and small squares of the old town into an open-air stage. Featuring concerts, art exhibitions, ancient Naso majolica, and the Iapri Food section, the event weaves together music, culture, and Sicilian culinary traditions in an original, free-to-attend format.

Iapri Fest: when music pours from the balconies

The Iapri Fest – Musical Balconies Festival is one of Sicily's most original summer events. It takes place in Naso, a charming village in the Nebrodi region of the province of Messina, overlooking the Aeolian Islands. Its founding concept is simple and poetic: artists do not perform on a traditional stage but instead play directly from the balconies of historic buildings in the old town. The name itself, "Iapri" (Sicilian for "open"), is an invitation to open the town's doors and windows to music and art.

An open-air stage

During the festival, the historic center of Naso transforms into a vast, immersive theater: alleys, staircases, small squares, and courtyards become listening venues, while music drifts down from above, accompanying the audience on a stroll through the village's stone streets. It is a fresh, engaging way to experience the town, highlighting the architecture and identity of the Municipality of Naso and the entire Nebrodi territory.

Music, art, and traditions

The program goes beyond concerts. Iapri Fest offers art exhibitions, living sculptures, installations, and creative spaces scattered throughout the village, alongside a showcase of the ancient Naso majolica art, one of the town's finest crafts. There are also children's workshops and an artisanal market, making the event perfect for the whole family.

The Iapri Food section

A significant focus is placed on flavor with the Iapri Food section: tastings, show-cooking sessions, and culinary workshops dedicated to typical Sicilian products and local excellence, often reinterpreted with an innovative twist. Gastronomy thus becomes an integral part of the experience, in true Mediterranean spirit.

A festival that has grown over the years

Launched in 2022, Iapri Fest has quickly become a highly anticipated date in the Sicilian cultural summer, drawing audiences and artists from across the island to Naso. The 2025 edition, the fourth, was entirely dedicated to women under the theme "Affacciati bedda" (Look out, beautiful). Admission to the event is free, confirming its popular and inclusive spirit.

Iapri Fest — edition 2026

The fifth edition of Iapri Fest is scheduled in Naso from July 17 to 19, 2026. For three days, the historic center of the Nebrodi village will once again be filled with music drifting from the balconies of historic buildings, featuring concerts, art, workshops, and the Iapri Food section. The detailed program and artist line-up will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.

The Iapri Fest 2026, the fifth edition of the Musical Balconies Festival, is confirmed in Naso (ME) from July 17 to 19, 2026. Once again, the historic center of this Nebrodi village will provide the backdrop for musical performances from the balconies of historic buildings, accompanied by exhibitions, art installations, an artisanal market, and the Iapri Food section. The line-up and full program will be announced by the organizers closer to the event; admission, as always, is free.
