About Week End Gastronomici Cartoceto
A journey into the flavours of the Pesaro hinterland
In Cartoceto, a small municipality in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino known throughout the Marche region for its DOP extra virgin olive oil, I Week End Gastronomici makes a stop, the major food and wine circuit promoted by Confcommercio Marche Nord together with FIPE - Pesaro and Urbino Restaurateurs Association. It is one of the longest-running and most successful events in the entire region: for over forty years, it has invited so-called "gastronauts" to discover the province through the dual lens of territory and cuisine.
How it works
The formula is simple and tested: on the scheduled weekends, dozens of restaurants located in many villages in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino and Montefeltro offer quality menus at promotional prices, focusing on typical dishes, local products, and seasonality. In Cartoceto, the event takes place at the restaurant Agli Olivi, one of the participating establishments, where local cuisine naturally blends with the oil culture that has made the town famous.
More than a lunch: an itinerary
Each stop is not just a gastronomic occasion but also an invitation to stroll among the monuments, churches, and landscapes of the host village. A guide booklet provides information on restaurants, menus, and cultural suggestions for each location, with particular attention to the Municipalities participating in Confcommercio's Itinerary of Beauty project, dedicated to the tourism promotion of the Marche hinterland.

Cartoceto is a perfect choice for those who love to combine good food with slow discovery: the historic centre, the hamlets, and the olive groves provide the backdrop for an event that celebrates the authenticity of flavours. The event takes place in two main periods throughout the year, the spring and autumn editions, to accompany visitors through the different seasons of taste in the Marche region.
Week End Gastronomici Cartoceto — edition 2026
The 43rd edition of I Week End Gastronomici is divided into two periods in 2026. The spring edition runs from April 12 to June 7, 2026, and brings to the table promotional price menus from 37 restaurants spread across 25 locations in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino and Montefeltro. The autumn edition continues from September 21 to December 6, 2026, with 42 restaurants in 28 locations. Cartoceto participates with the restaurant Agli Olivi in both seasons.
The event is organized by Confcommercio Marche Nord and FIPE with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Marche, the Provincial Bilateral Bodies for Commerce and Tourism, and RivieraBanca.

- Sunday, May 31, 2026 — lunch at the restaurant Agli Olivi, Cartoceto, with a menu dedicated to typical regional dishes and seasonal products.
Autumn stop in Cartoceto
- Sunday, October 12, 2026 — the restaurant Agli Olivi returns among the participating tables for the autumn edition.
The Cartoceto stops are part of a larger provincial calendar: each weekend of the circuit involves different restaurants in as many villages in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino and Montefeltro, with menus at promotional prices.
