About Concerti della Pieve

A season of classical and singer-songwriter music that brings the summer to life in Campiglia Marittima, a medieval village perched on the hills of the Val di Cornia, in the province of Livorno. From June 24 to August 21, 2026, the evocative Romanesque Pieve of San Giovanni and the Teatro Comunale dei Concordi will host a series of concerts ranging from classical music to jazz, and from tango to Italian singer-songwriter hits. Part of the ArtInsieme cultural project, the festival blends musical excellence with the charm of historic settings, offering intimate sunset evenings in one of Tuscany's most fascinating villages.

A musical festival in the heart of the Val di Cornia

The Concerti della Pieve are one of the most anticipated events of the cultural summer in Campiglia Marittima, a refined medieval village perched on the hills of the Val di Cornia, in the province of Livorno, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma. The festival brings great classical and singer-songwriter music to some of the town's most evocative locations, turning summer evenings into opportunities for intimate listening and discovering the local area.

The Romanesque Pieve of San Giovanni, a timeless setting

The heart of the festival is the Pieve of San Giovanni, a splendid Romanesque building dating back to the 11th century, whose ancient stones and natural acoustics provide a perfect setting for music. Some events also take place at the Teatro Comunale dei Concordi and in other village spaces such as Piazza Mazzini, expanding the dialogue between music and the historical heritage of Campiglia.

A program featuring classical, jazz, and singer-songwriter music

The strength of the Concerti della Pieve lies in the variety of its artistic offerings: the program ranges from chamber music and classical repertoire to jazz, contemporary tango, and Italian singer-songwriter music, featuring top-tier musicians, ensembles, and soloists. Each evening is designed as a small journey, capable of speaking to both enthusiasts and those experiencing these genres for the first time.

The ArtInsieme project

The festival is part of the broader ArtInsieme cultural project, promoted by the Municipality of Campiglia Marittima together with local associations and organizations, with the support of entities such as the Fondazione Livorno. The goal is to enhance the historical, artistic, and landscape heritage of the village through a summer calendar rich in music, theater, and entertainment.

Experiencing Campiglia Marittima

Attending a concert at the Pieve also means discovering Campiglia Marittima: the narrow streets of the historic center, the Rocca di Pisa that overlooks the town, and the artisan shops and trattorias where you can taste the flavors of Maremma cuisine. It is an experience that combines quality music, the beauty of the surroundings, and the hospitality of a village that has made culture one of its distinctive features in the Tuscan landscape.

Concerti della Pieve — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Concerti della Pieve offers nine events from June 24 to August 21, held between the Romanesque Pieve of San Giovanni, the Teatro dei Concordi, and Piazza Mazzini. A musical journey that weaves together singer-songwriter music, classical music, jazz, and tango, featuring ensembles, soloists, and special projects designed for the summer evenings of Campiglia Marittima.
