The reggae night at Marina di Pescara, part of the Estatica festival lineup
The Harbour Reggae Festival is a night dedicated to reggae music that brings the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port to life every August, in the heart of the Adriatic capital of Abruzzo. Born in 2019 as a musical offshoot of the Marina's summer season, the event has steadily grown into one of the most anticipated dates of the Pescara summer, drawing fans of the genre from across the Pescara province and neighboring regions.
As its slogan suggests, the festival "blends groove and offbeat rhythms" and is colored in yellow, green, and red, paying homage to timeless reggae icons like Bob Marley, while also featuring emerging talents and new projects from the Italian scene. The Marina Arena stage hosts a mix of live bands, DJ sets, sound systems, and tribute acts, creating a festive atmosphere that blends concerts with Jamaican culture on the shores of the Adriatic.
Early editions showcased the Abruzzo and national reggae scene, featuring groups like the local Maga Dog. The 2025 edition was entirely dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Bob Marley's birth, featuring a screening of the documentary "Marley" and performances by Kinky People and Ras & Groove in up. The event is organized by the Negril Cultural Association, with artistic direction by Don Tino and Carlo Marcone, key figures in the Abruzzo reggae scene.
The Harbour Reggae Festival is part of Estatica, the major summer festival at Marina di Pescara that offers over 60 events each year, including music, theater, contemporary circus, and literature, from June to early September. Being part of this program ensures the festival a broad and diverse audience in one of the most evocative settings in the Municipality of Pescara: the tourist port overlooking the sea, a symbol of the city's summer life.
The 2026 edition of the Harbour Reggae Festival is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, confirmed as part of the Estatica lineup, the Marina's summer festival which celebrates its seventeenth edition this year with over 60 events.
As per tradition, the evening will be dedicated to reggae music and its culture, featuring offbeat rhythms, sound systems, and tributes to the genre's greatest icons. The official artist lineup has not yet been announced: updates will be published on the Estatica and Negril Association channels.
The festival takes place at the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, on the city's waterfront. By train, Pescara Centrale station is just a few minutes away; by car, it can be reached via the A14 motorway (Pescara Ovest or Pescara Nord exits), and the Abruzzo Airport is located a short distance away.
Admission is paid with affordable pricing (around 10 euros in recent editions); tickets are available through the Ciaotickets circuit and at the evening box office. The full Estatica program is available at estatica-pescara.com.
The event is held outdoors in the height of summer: light clothing is recommended. Pescara offers a wide range of dining and accommodation options along the waterfront.
