Gusto in Quota: local excellence at 2,035 meters

Gusto in Quota is the food and wine event that, every summer, brings the flavors and traditions of the mountains to Sestriere, the highest municipality in Italy, located in the Province of Turin in the heart of Piedmont. The event is hosted at Casa Olimpia, the former roadman's house of the Metropolitan City of Turin, now restored and repurposed, specifically in the Sala Ezio Giaj on Via Pinerolo.

A format of meetings and guided tastings

The festival is organized by the Consorzio Vittone ETS with the support of the Municipality of Sestriere, the Piedmont Region, the Metropolitan City of Turin, and Turismo Torino e Provincia. Each evening is structured as a talk followed by a guided tasting: experts, academics, sommeliers, and industry representatives guide the audience through the discovery of a specific product and its production chain.

Protagonists: the products of the Olympic Valleys and the Pinerolo area

The focus is on the agri-food and artisanal excellence of the territory, from the Susa and Sangone Valleys to the Pinerolo area:

• Alpine cheeses, mountain milk, and traditional dairy products from the Cottian Alps;
• Craft mountain beers, produced in the microbreweries of the valleys;
• Local wines, from whites to reds of the Pinerolo area, paired during tastings by professional sommeliers;
• Traditional bread, focaccia, and baked goods, presented by local bakers;
• Alpine liqueurs such as Genepy and Gentian, symbols of high-altitude culture.

An experience blending culture, taste, and landscape

More than just a tasting, Gusto in Quota is an opportunity to meet the producers, understand the bond between the product and its land, and experience the gastronomic identity of the Piedmontese mountains. The setting is Sestriere in summer, an ideal destination for hiking, outdoor sports, and relaxation at altitude, where the famous Milky Way ski area transforms into a vast natural park.
