A summer of entertainment, music, and flavor in the City of the Griffins

Grifoni Summer is the summer program through which the Municipality of Ascoli Satriano, in the province of Foggia (Apulia), brings the evenings of July and August to life. Promoted by the Department of Tourism and Entertainment, the festival transforms this Daunian Mountain village into a widespread stage: live concerts, cabaret, gastronomy, and family entertainment follow one another for several weeks, almost always with free admission.
Ascoli Satriano is known as the City of the Griffins thanks to the famous marble Griffins of the Daunian era, masterpieces of archaeology housed in the local Museum Complex: the festival's name is inspired by this millenary identity, blending popular entertainment with local pride.
In recent years, Grifoni Summer has brought many popular faces of the Italian scene to Ascoli Satriano: the 2023 edition featured Cristiano Malgioglio, Gianni Ciardo, and Tony Esposito; in 2024 (from July 5th to August 21st), Clementino, Fausto Leali, I Collage, and Gigione performed; in the summer of 2025, the grand Ferragosto finale was entrusted to the Cugini di Campagna, performing in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II.
Perched on three hills in the Foggia hinterland, Ascoli Satriano preserves an archaeological and historical heritage of great value, from the Roman Villa of Faragola to the Griffin Museum. Experiencing Grifoni Summer also means discovering an authentic village in inland Apulia, far from the beaten path, where the summer festival is an opportunity for the entire community and visitors to come together.
The 2026 edition of Grifoni Summer in Ascoli Satriano has not yet been officially announced: as of now, neither the exact dates nor the artist program are known. The festival traditionally takes place between July and August, with free events in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II and the historic center.
The detailed calendar will be published by the Department of Tourism and Entertainment of the Municipality of Ascoli Satriano on official channels. This page will be updated as soon as information regarding the summer of 2026 is released.
