When an industrial facility becomes a stage to discuss the environment
There are places you wouldn't associate with theatre: an industrial facility dedicated to the circular economy is one of them. Yet, it is precisely here, in Palazzolo Vercellese, a small town in the Province of Vercelli in Piedmont, that Green Days comes to life. The Haiki+ company, active in the environmental and circular economy sector, has chosen to open its facility at Via Cerretta 30 and transform it, for one day, into a space for meeting and culture for the community.
Green Days is part of the Theatre in the Plants initiative, born from the collaboration between Haiki+ and Campo Teatrale. The idea is simple and powerful: to bring theatre to where sustainability is worked on every day, breaking down the distance between a production facility and the public. A facility that usually remains closed and little known thus becomes an open stage, a place to reflect together on environmental issues through the power of live storytelling.
At the heart of the show is the relationship between man and nature, told through a family story that is more relevant than ever: that of a single father and his teenage daughter, a passionate and radical environmental activist. In a world that seems to be burning on the outside, the two protagonists navigate dreams, disillusionment, and the search for their own inner truth. Theatre becomes the tool to explore contemporary ecological challenges and to stimulate deep reflection on individual conscience, without preaching but with emotion.
Green Days is not just a show: it is a moment designed for the local area. Before the performance, there will be speeches by Mayor Bruno Longo and Haiki+ CEO Giovanni Rosti; at the end, refreshments will accompany the audience in a convivial moment. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Palazzolo Vercellese, and during the day, it is possible to contribute with a voluntary donation to the Pro Loco NGF of Palazzolo Vercellese, in support of local initiatives.
An appointment that shows how culture and sustainability can meet even in a small town in Piedmont, transforming a facility into an opportunity for everyone to meet.
