The granfondo cycling race through the hills of Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero, starting from Pollenzo.
The Granfondo Bra Bra Fenix — Langhe Monferrato Roero is one of the most prestigious cycling events in northwest Italy. Organized by A.S.D. Gran Fondo Bra Bra, it is based in Pollenzo, the elegant village within the municipality of Bra, in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of Piedmont. For over thirty years, the race has taken amateur cyclists along the hilly roads of three world-famous territories: the Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero, wine-growing landscapes recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The event takes place over an entire weekend. Saturday is dedicated to the Bra Bra Gravel Experience, a cycle-touring ride on gravel roads with two available routes (approximately 50 and 70 km), designed for those who love off-road adventure and want to discover the area at a leisurely pace, complete with tastings and social moments. Sunday is the day for the main races, with the start set for 9:00 AM from the central square of Pollenzo.
Amateur cyclists can choose between different distances, tailored to everyone's fitness and ambitions:
On Sunday morning, the Bra Bra Running Fun also kicks off from Piazza Pollenzo, featuring a run and walk open to everyone, to involve those who don't cycle.
Over the years, the event has hosted numerous stars of international cycling. All registered participants receive a rich race pack with a cycling jersey and other gadgets, as well as a finisher's medal at the finish line. Pollenzo transforms into a large event village, with refreshments, exhibitors, and festivities that enliven the village for the entire weekend.
The Granfondo Bra Bra is much more than a race: it is an opportunity to discover an extraordinary corner of Piedmont. Bra is the home of the Slow Food movement, and Pollenzo hosts the University of Gastronomic Sciences; surrounding it are the vineyards of Roero, Barolo, and Barbaresco. Cycling through these hills means immersing yourself in a landscape where cycling, wine, and great food have always coexisted.

Among the announced guests were the former Swiss Olympic champion Pascal Richard and the former professional Adrie van der Poel, father of champion Mathieu.
