Street food, craft beer, and Sicilian flavors in the heart of the Ficuzza Forest Park
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Godrano Food Festival is the premier gastronomic event that brings the small town of Godrano, in the province of Palermo, to life at the end of August. Located about an hour from the Sicilian capital and overlooking the stunning Ficuzza Natural Park, the village transforms Piazza Aldo Moro and its historic streets into a grand culinary trail, designed to showcase Sicilian cuisine through its most authentic ingredients.
The heart of the festival lies in its food and wine stalls, open from the afternoon until late at night, where visitors can meet local producers and hear their stories. Alongside traditional Sicilian street food favoritesโsuch as panelle, porchetta sandwiches, cannoli, and fresh pastaโyou will find experimental and fusion culinary offerings. The spotlight is on local farm-to-table products: the famous Godrano caciocavallo cheese, artisanal meats and cured products, bread, olive oil, honey, preserves, seasonal vegetables, traditional rustic desserts, and herbal liqueurs. There is also no shortage of craft beer stands, wineries, and cocktail bars.
Beyond the culinary offerings, the program features guided tastings, flavor workshops, live cooking shows with local chefs, and food tours dedicated to discovering local raw materials. Artisan markets line the village streets, offering typical products and handmade crafts, while the village's location on the edge of the woods invites visitors to combine the festivities with hikes and walks in the nature of the Ficuzza Park.
The festival evenings are accompanied by live music, cover bands, tributes to major Italian and international artists, and DJ sets that keep the square buzzing until late at night, making Godrano a popular gathering spot for families, young people, and visitors from across the province of Palermo.
The Godrano Food Festival is part of the town's rich summer calendar and takes place around the same time as the Caciocavallo Festival, the other major local event dedicated to the town's signature cheese, which is held in the preceding days. Together, they represent the most vibrant moment of the Godrano summer, drawing thousands of visitors to this small village in the Sicilian interior.
At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition of the Godrano Food Festival have not yet been announced. Based on the most recent editions held at the end of August in Godrano (province of Palermo), we can expect a new edition in 2026 with the usual format: food stalls with local farm-to-table products, Sicilian street food, craft beer, tastings, flavor workshops, and evenings enlivened by live music and DJ sets in Piazza Aldo Moro.
To find out the official dates and the detailed program, we recommend following the social media channels of the Municipality and the organizers, where information is published in the weeks leading up to the event.
Piazza Aldo Moro and the historic center of Godrano (PA), within the Ficuzza Natural Park, in the province of Palermo.
By car from Palermo, Godrano can be reached in about an hour by taking the SS121 towards Marineo and then following the provincial roads towards Ficuzza and Godrano. A private vehicle is recommended given the village's location in the mountainous interior.
Admission to the event is free; you only pay for what you consume at the stalls. Food and wine stalls are generally open from the afternoon until late at night.
Wear comfortable clothing for walking through the historic center and bring a light jacket for the cool mountain evenings. The area is perfect for combining the festival with a walk in the Ficuzza woods.
