The event is organized by the San Michele Arcangelo Festival Committee and is part of the summer program promoted by the Municipality of Vitorchiano, in the province of Viterbo, in the Lazio region.

The festival is part of a summer particularly rich in events: Vitorchiano's calendar complements the gnocchi with the Notte Rosa, the Threshing and Plowing Festival, the Vitorchiano Film Festival, the Cavatello Festival organized by the Pro Loco in late July, and musical events throughout August, leading up to the September celebrations.
