Four Fridays of music, shopping, and entertainment in the historic center of Terranuova Bracciolini
Every year, as June arrives, the historic center of Terranuova Bracciolini, in the province of Arezzo, changes its face and becomes the beating heart of the town's social life. Giugno Terranuovese is a widespread festival that fills Piazza della Repubblica and the surrounding streets for an entire month with live music, markets, street food, and performances, with shops staying open until late at night. Promoted by the Municipality of Terranuova Bracciolini in collaboration with the CommArt association and the Pro Loco, the event aims to showcase the town's natural shopping center and strengthen the ties between citizens, merchants, and the local area.
The format is well-established: four consecutive Fridays, each dedicated to a different theme, plus a closing event on Saturday. The opening night, dubbed "Una Notte a Terranuova" (A Night in Terranuova), is the highlight of the festival and attracts a major Italian entertainment star every year. The program continues with revival nights, multimedia formats designed for younger audiences, night walks, and dance performances, in a crescendo that engages all age groups.
The beauty of Giugno Terranuovese lies in its ability to transform the entire historic center into a lively, accessible space. While artists and DJ sets take turns on the stage in Piazza della Repubblica, Via Roma hosts craft stalls, food trucks, and refreshment points, while smaller squares like Piazza Trieste and Piazza Trento host fashion shows, entertainment, and bouncy castles for children. It is a festival designed for families, but also for those who want to spend an evening in good company in the open air.
Located along the Arno valley, halfway between Florence and Arezzo, Terranuova Bracciolini is one of the "new lands" (terre nuove) founded by the Florentine Republic in the 14th century, with a regular urban layout that makes the historic center particularly suitable for hosting widespread events. Today, Giugno Terranuovese is one of the most cherished appointments of the Valdarno summer and an opportunity to discover a village in Tuscany often off the beaten track of major tourist circuits.
The Giugno Terranuovese 2026 unfolds throughout the month of June with four themed Fridays and a closing event on Saturday, June 27. The heart of the festival is Piazza della Repubblica, flanked by Via Roma with its craft stalls and food trucks, and by Piazza Trieste and Piazza Trento, which are dedicated to entertainment and bouncy castles for children. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Terranuova Bracciolini with CommArt and the Pro Loco.

Terranuova Bracciolini is located along the Arno valley, between Florence and Arezzo. By car, it can be reached from the A1 motorway (Valdarno exit) in just a few minutes. By train, the reference station is Montevarchi-Terranuova, on the Florence-Arezzo-Rome line, connected to the center by local buses.
The evenings take place on Friday nights in June, typically starting from late afternoon until late at night. The closing event is held on Saturday.
Access to the evenings and performances in the square is free. Some side activities (dinners, guided excursions) may require a contribution.
The events take place in the pedestrian historic center: it is advisable to park in the external areas and reach the squares on foot. Shops and venues remain open until late at night.
