Giudicarie a Teatro is the unified theatre season designed for the entire Giudicarie territory in the western part of the Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. The goal is clear: to revitalise and standardise the theatrical offering across the valleys, ensuring that all citizens—even those in smaller, outlying villages—have the opportunity to enjoy high-level drama and children's theatre without having to travel to major urban centres.

The Preore stop in the municipality of Tre Ville

Among the many locations involved in the programme is the village of Preore, in the municipality of Tre Ville, where performances take place at Casa Mondrone. Each season, the festival brings at least one show to this venue, confirming the presence of theatre in this corner of the Giudicarie valleys. It is an intimate and welcoming space that allows for a close connection between the audience and the artists.

Drama and children's theatre

The programme is divided into two main strands: evening drama, dedicated to adult audiences, and children's theatre, featuring afternoon shows designed for kids and families. Local Trentino companies and guest performers alternate between comedies, tragicomedies, and productions for children, creating a varied schedule that ranges from pure entertainment to thought-provoking themes.

Organisers

The festival is promoted by the Comunità delle Giudicarie in collaboration with local municipalities, including Tre Ville, and is under the artistic and organisational direction of the Coordinamento Teatrale Trentino.
